Books: Sloane Crosley

My latest round of memoir mania is the result of reading this book. It has one of the best book titles ever, no? Sloane Crosley is a thirty-something New Yorker who looks like Daria if Daria grew up and got even hotter:
See?
She also writes like Daria, which means wry and pithy with a heat of gold. My two favorites were her being maid of honor for an old, old, old school friend, and her hilarious description of collapsing boss-assistant relations. The story is called The Ursula Cookie and features manic baking and inter office hysteria. My favorites. I also read her other (and newer) collection a few months back:

I remember reading about Romanian circus midgets, road kill and and impromptu journey to Bulgaria. If I remember correctly, which I probably don't. HAPPY FRIDAY!
